Trinidad is a small Nahuatl community in the municipality of Xilitla. It houses some of the wildest and most spectacular zones of the Sierra Gorda. Visiting the place is almost like travelling back in time, since one can observe the splendor that the forests of the Sierra Madre in the Huasteca Potosina once had.

Its coniferous and oak forests, as well as cloud forests covered with orchids and bromeliads represent an authentic biological treasure. The best way to discover them is by following one of the many foot trails.

The community owns cabins, campgrounds, a rustic kitchen and dining area where they offer food services, as well as trail guides. They also rent sleeping bags and tents.

Please consider that the community only has one phone that sometimes doesn’t work well due to poor signal. Therefore, if you wish to visit, we recommend you that you contact us and we will communicate with them.

From Xilitla, you can access Trinidad on a dirt road. The first section of the road, from Xilitla to the community of Miramar Nuevo, is paved. After that, until you reach the community of Miramar Viejo, you will need a vehicle with high clearance and good tires. The last five kilometers of the road are paved as well.
