ARTISANS’ REST POINT MAGUEY VERDE

In the heart of Querétaro’s semi-desert is the community of Maguey Verde, where 14 families operate an artisans’ rest point. In addition to the rocks extracted from the surrounding mines, they sell jewelry that they make or exchange.

On your trip to the Sierra Gorda do not forget to stop at this rest point. They offer sanitary services and organize food sales during Easter holidays.

    WHERE TO BUY

The rest point is located along Federal Highway 120 (San Juan del Río – Xilitla), nearby the community of Maguey Verde.

Artisans’ Rest Point Maguey Verde (pine nuts sale)

In the pine forest located on the community’s common land and very close to the rest point, locals harvest pine nuts between October and December. After drying them, they offer them for sale. They also sell pines transformed into Christmas decorations.
