Boasting 11 of Mexico’s 10 ecosystems, the Sierra Gorda is one of the most eco- and bio-diverse protected areas in the world, and is a refuge for many endangered species of plants and animals.


Cultural Attractions

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Reserve is home to a variety of cultural attractions, including the five Franciscan Mission built between 1750 and 1760.
